Our youth team started in 2014, the first youth hurling club in Canada.  Our team is comprised of boys and girls ages 5 to 16 years old.

We have played games across Canada and the USA.  In 2014, we brought U8, U12 and U14 camogie players to the Continental Youth Championships (CYC) in New York where our U8’s were runners up and our camógs won gold and silver - a fantastic start to our new youth club! In 2015, we travelled to Maine and took part in a four-day training program with games against teams from New York, Boston and Maine. In 2016, we travelled to CYC in Chicago where our U12’s took home silver and our camógs came away again in U14 and U16 with silver and gold.  In 2018 we travelled to CYC in Boston where we brought home three medals, gold and silver in both hurling and camogie!

We train all year round, every Thursday evening from 6:30pm-7:30pm at 390 March Road Soccer Field (390 March Road, Kanata).  We are always welcoming new members; all are welcome to come and try out the sport, no experience is necessary.  All equipment is provided for you to try.

Schools Program

Our schools program started in 2015, and is a huge success!  We have been sending coaches into schools across the National Capital Region to introduce Hurling and Camogie to students in both Elementary and High School.  We also have had visiting coaches over from Ireland in 2016, 2017 and 2018 who helped train students, and work with teachers on skills and teaching resources.

We were delighted to bring Hurling and Camogie to the South Carleton High School curriculum.  This year, they received funding to purchase a full set of equipment for the school – the first school in Canada to achieve this.

If you would like us to send a qualified coach into your school, please contact us to schedule a time.
